What We Do

At FrameShift Advisory, we believe leadership visibility is never neutral. Every word, every silence, every appearance sends a signal that shapes reputation and influence.

We’ve worked on both sides of the camera and inside the boardrooms where reputations are made or lost. That experience — spanning broadcast journalism, global comms advisory, and executive coaching — means we understand not just what leaders need to say, but how power dynamics, culture, and timing affect whether it lands.

Our team has advised leaders at VML Health, Shell, Spotify, the London Stock Exchange, IMG, and other global organisations. We’ve also partnered with scale-ups, sports broadcasters, and comms teams navigating moments of scrutiny. In each case, our role is the same: to ensure leaders show up with clarity, credibility, and control when the stakes are highest.

Philosophy:
Most leaders don’t struggle to communicate — that’s why they’re in the roles they hold. What’s missing is often the space to stress-test their message, sharpen delivery, and consider how words ripple through investors, employees, media, and regulators.

That’s the FrameShift difference. We work discreetly and strategically to:
- Pressure-test narratives before they leave the room.
- Activate visibility in the right forums, with the right tone.
- Advise on reputation when scrutiny peaks and silence isn’t an option.

How We Work:
Our approach blends the discipline of newsroom preparation with the discretion of senior advisory. We design engagements to be practical, discreet, and high-impact — from one-to-one advisory to boardroom intensives.

Why It Matters:
Visibility without clarity risks confusion.
Clarity without credibility risks trust.
Credibility without amplification limits impact.

At FrameShift Advisory, we help leaders balance all three. Because in moments that matter, communication isn’t a skillset — it’s the foundation of your leadership architecture.

  • Founder

FrameShift Advisory was founded by Genelle Aldred, a strategic communications advisor with more than 15 years’ experience at the intersection of media, leadership, and reputation.

Genelle began her career as a journalist and newsreader for ITN, ITV, and the BBC where she learned first-hand how messages land — and misfire — under pressure. Since then, she has advised senior leaders and global organisations including Shell, Spotify, the London Stock Exchange, Equifax, and IMG, helping them sharpen their narratives, strengthen their presence, and protect their reputations in high-stakes moments.

Her expertise spans broadcast journalism, corporate advisory, and leadership development. She has worked globally for FTSE 250 and Fortune 500 companies, delivered keynotes at organisations including The Cabinet Office, IAG GBS, and Girls’ Day School Trust, and authored two books on communication and confidence.

As founder of FrameShift, Genelle’s mission is clear: to ensure leaders don’t just communicate — they influence ecosystems, protect their leadership architecture, and show up with clarity, credibility, and control when it matters most.
