Leadership Changes. Your Altitude Has To.
A 3-month advisory for senior leaders needing to shift the way they work, communicate and show up.
THE REAL SITUATION
You've been promoted. Or your role has evolved. Either way, the leadership landscape has shifted — and what got you here won't get you there.
This isn't about being bad at your job. It's about the fact that strategy execution at a new level requires a fundamentally different approach to how you think, communicate, and show up.
The problem is: nobody tells you how.
WHAT THIS ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE
If you're new to the organisation AND new to this level: You're decoding culture in real time. Learning how people communicate, what the team dynamics actually are, who's aligned and who's blocking. You're trying to establish credibility while simultaneously navigating the very people who might be the roadblocks you need to address. It's hard to do that internally when you're also trying to run the business.
If you've been promoted internally: You've been reinvented. Everyone knew you in your old role. Now you're stepping into executive space and people are struggling to see you differently. Your credibility in the previous role doesn't automatically translate. You need to establish yourself differently — with different authority, different boundaries, different relationships. And sometimes that means making decisions about people who used to be peers.
If you're new to senior leadership: The conversations are bigger. The room is different. The stakes are higher. What worked at the previous level — being in the work, fixing problems yourself, managing through relationships — suddenly isn't enough. You're expected to think strategically, set direction, and get other people to execute
In all cases, there's added pressure: You've inherited a P&L you need to protect. You're being judged against KPIs. The strategy is signed off (whether you worked on it or not). And now you need to get your team — new team, inherited team, or people you used to work alongside — to move in a direction they may not fully understand, may not agree with, or may be actively resisting.
WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS WHEN MOMENTUM GETS STUCK
When leaders navigate this transition without support, things tend to break down in predictable ways:
The team doesn't recalibrate around you They still expect you to fix more junior operational things. You're still showing up that way. The professional distance isn't there. The leadership clarity isn't landing. People treat you the way they used to, and you're not establishing the new dynamic.
HR escalations increase Conflicts that could have been addressed early become people problems. Team members go around you. Difficult conversations get avoided until they become crises. Sick days increase. Turnover happens.
You get stuck in loops The same conversations keep happening. People aren't moving. Decisions don't stick. You find yourself re-explaining, re-justifying, re-convincing — because the initial communication didn't land or wasn't clear enough.
Your credibility takes a hit You're not showing up with the authority you need. Maybe you're still too operational. Maybe you're avoiding the difficult conversations. Maybe you're inconsistent. Or maybe you're communicating something different to different people and people are picking up on that.
The strategy stalls The P&L suffers. KPIs don't move. The business strategy doesn't translate into action because the people side isn't aligned. And you're caught between the board asking "why isn't this moving?" and your team saying "we don't understand what you want."
You lose confidence You start doubting whether you can actually do this. You wonder if you're the right person for the role. You're working harder than ever but nothing feels like it's shifting. The isolation of the role becomes real.
This is where most leaders get stuck. And this is where the Altitude Shift Sprint comes in.
HOW THE ALTITUDE SHIFT SPRINT WORKS
This is a 12-week intensive coaching programme designed specifically for leaders navigating this transition. It's not generic leadership coaching. It's focused, practical, and built around your actual situation.
The Process
Before we start: The intake conversation We talk. I want to understand your situation — what's working, what's stuck, what you're inheriting, what you need to change. I also speak with your manager, your HR partner, or whoever is sponsoring this support. I need to understand what the business needs from you in this role, and what success looks like.
Week 1-2: Deep clarity I take you through a detailed questionnaire about your specific challenges. We map out:
What's pulling you back into operational work
Where you're avoiding difficult conversations
How you're currently showing up (and how that's landing)
What's stuck in your strategy execution
Where your team isn't aligned or moving
We identify the friction points — the gaps between where you want to lead and how you're actually showing up.
Week 3-8: Framework work and live situations Every week, we work on:
Decision-making frameworks — How to think and decide at executive level. How to separate emotion from information. How to make clean decisions and communicate them.
Live situations — You bring real situations from your week. Someone didn't perform. A difficult conversation you need to have. A decision you need to communicate. A team dynamic that's stuck. We work through it. We build the communication strategy. We rehearse it. You learn what to actually do in these moments.
Communication architecture — How to communicate consistently across all levels (team, peers, board). Message hierarchy. Stakeholder mapping. How to ensure the same message lands the same way everywhere. How to use communication as a structural tool, not just delivery.
Cultural alignment — How your leadership, your communication, and your decisions shape the culture you're creating. How to shift culture through consistency, clarity, and how you show up.
Week 9-12: Integration and accountability By now, the frameworks are becoming your default. You're making decisions faster. You're navigating conflict without avoidance. You're showing up visibly as a strategic leader, not just a senior operator. Your team is beginning to recalibrate around you.
We focus on integration — making sure these shifts stick. And accountability — I hold you to what you said you'd do, because consistency is what actually changes how people perceive your leadership.
